Profirex GPVK 1 High Expansion Foam Generator

The PROFIREX GPVK 1 dynamic high-expansion foam generator is intended for use in total flooding or in the local application of high-expansion foam systems.

The PROFIREX GPVK 1 consists of a stainless-steel body with a perforated screen attached to it. Connection to the supply line is made through an inlet with a flange or threaded connection. Inside the body, on the inlet there is a freely rotating rotor with end nozzles and a water-powered fan for airflow and the expansion of the foam solution.

The nozzles of the PROFIREX GPVK 1 are coaxial to each other and angled to the central axis of the foam generator body. The perforated screen has a cellular structure with normal sized holes. The rear end of the foam generator body has a cellular structure through which air is supplied when the generator is running.

The foam solution flows through the inlet pipe to the distribution device, and then to the nozzles. The outflow from the jets creates the reaction torque, which drives the rotor with the fan attached to it. During the passage of the foam solution, a constant rotation of the system is maintained and the constant injection of air into the foam solution coats the perforated screen which allows for a large amount of stable high-expansion foam.

The hydraulic principle of operation used eliminates the use of electricity for injection of air. This high-expansion foam generator design is much smaller in size and weight when compared to similar products.
